Fees for standard language courses - One student with a private teacher

These prices are per student per week and include lessons, accommodation and three meals per day (where applicable). One week = Sunday to Sunday. Minimum charge one week, but stay for a shorter period (2/3/4 day crash course) and still get all your lessons at no extra charge. A reduction of 5% for the third week booked, and a reduction of 10% for the fourth and consecutive weeks booked.

Two students in the home of the language teacher

IMPORTANT - TWO STUDENTS IN THE HOME: Students choosing the two student programme must come with their own partner of the same level and at the same dates as they share the teacher. ACCOMPANYING PERSON SHARING A ROOM WITHOUT LANGUAGE LESSONS benefit from the following reductions on accommodation: Aged 0 - 4 = 75% reduction, Aged 5 - 11 = 50% reduction. Aged 12 and over = 20% reduction. These reductions do not apply to those having lessons. BABYSITTING can be arranged for young children while their parents have lessons, the cost per hour is £15, $25 or €25 according to the country chosen.

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR PROGRAMMES - Language courses: Any bookings which include the 24, 25 or 26 December (Christmas), or 31 December or 1 January (New Year) will be subject to a surcharge of £100, $150 or €150 according to the country chosen. One payment only for the entire stay.

ACTIVITY, EXCURSION & SPORTS PROGRAMME - MAKE YOUR OWN PROGRAMME: Students taking our Standard Course will live the normal life of the teacher’s family and will benefit from at least one excursion per week chosen by the teacher but without extra charge. If students wish to choose specific activities themselves, they may do so when these are available in the area chosen. Our activities may consist of excursions or sports accompanied by an adult member of the host family. Our charges for excursions or sport time are the same as the teaching rate. Students can therefore substitute 1 hour of activities for each hour of lessons that they wish provided that this is arranged at the time the stay is booked. In addition, the student must pay for all expenses including entrance fees & bus or train tickets for both themselves and the person accompanying them. Similarly, in the case of sports such as tennis, golf or horse riding, students must pay for themselves and the family member accompanying them. The students are free to choose the excursions or sports that please them, but we must then reserve the right to choose the area where we know that such excursions or sports are available. We cannot always guarantee this service especially if it is a late booking or if the student places restrictions on the type of family selected (children of the same age, vegetarian, non smoker, centre of town etc…….).
For parents & students who would prefer a definite sum of expenses to be included - Add a supplement £60, €90 or $90 per week extra charge according to the country chosen. NB: Students must book at least 5 hours of activities.

CLOSER SUPERVISION (COCOONING) FOR UNDER 18s: A SUPPLEMENT OF £175, $280 or €280 PER WEEK EXTRA CHARGE ACCORDING TO THE COUNTRY CHOSEN.The Standard Course does not oblige the teacher or member of the family to spend all their time with the student. The teacher will of course spend a reasonable amount of time with the student, as they would with any friend who came to stay. This closer supervision option guarantees that the teacher or an adult member of the family is around at all times when the student is there, but does not guarantee specific activities.

EXAM PREPARATION COURSES/ SPECIALISED VOCABULARY COURSES: Price of the Standard Programme + a supplement of £98, €140 or $140 per week extra charge according to the country chosen. Your teacher will design a course to prepare you for an exam, or with specialised vocabulary and technical terms, in areas such as medicine, engineering, law, computing, architecture, tourism etc.
