2009: Comfort language courses: One student in the
home Five Star Luxury Accomodation.
The five star luxury accommodation programme is specially devised
for business and professional people & their families who
are used to a very high standard of living and who definitely
require extra comfort. The Five Star Luxury Programme includes
Private Bathroom, a higher standard of accommodation and meals
and more individual attention to the student. The price for the
Five Star Luxury Programme is double the standard programme price.
VIP OPTION FOR JUNIORS
This option includes superior accommodation, private bathroom, cocooning and 1 free cultural visit per week. The cost is double the Standard Programme price. Extra activities (Sports/Cultural/Leisure) may of course be added on request.
COCOONING
Closer supervision for under 18s. Guarantees that the tutor or an adult member of the family isat home at all times when the student is there. Add a supplement of £100, €150 or US$150 per week according to the country chosen. Does not guarantee activities.
PERSON ACCOMPANYING A STUDENT HAVING LESSONS
This option is available with full-board accommodation only.
Applies to an accompanying person sharing a room without lessons. Aged 0 - 4 = 75% discount, Aged 5-11 = 50% discount, Adults and children aged 12 and over = 20% discount. Babysitting can be arranged at a cost per hour of £15, €25 or US$25 according to the country chosen.
CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR PROGRAMMES - Language courses: Any
bookings which include the 24, 25 or 26 December (Christmas),
or 31 December or 1 January (New Year) will be subject to a
surcharge of £120, $180 or €180 according to the
country chosen. One payment only for the entire stay.
ACTIVITY, EXCURSION & SPORTS PROGRAMME - MAKE YOUR
OWN PROGRAMME: Students taking our Standard Course will
live the normal life of the teacher’s family and will
benefit from at least one excursion per week chosen by the
teacher but without extra charge. If students wish to choose
specific activities themselves, they may do so when these
are available in the area chosen. Our activities may consist
of excursions or sports accompanied by an adult member of
the host family. Our charges for excursions or sport time
are the same as the teaching rate. Students can therefore
substitute 1 hour of activities for each hour of lessons
that they wish provided that this is arranged at the time
the stay is booked. In addition, the student must pay for
all expenses including entrance fees & bus or train tickets
for both themselves and the person accompanying them. Similarly,
in the case of sports such as tennis, golf or horse riding,
students must pay for themselves and the family member accompanying
them. The students are free to choose the excursions or sports
that please them, but we must then reserve the right to choose
the area where we know that such excursions or sports are
available. We cannot always guarantee this service especially
if it is a late booking or if the student places restrictions
on the type of family selected (children of the same age,
vegetarian, non smoker, centre of town etc…….).
For parents & students who would prefer a definite
sum of expenses to be included - Add a supplement £60, €90
or $90 per week extra charge according to the country chosen.
NB: Students must book at least 5 hours of activities.
EXAM PREPARATION / SPECIALISED VOCABULARY
Your teacher will design a course to prepare you for an exam (Cambridge First Certificate/Proficiency, TOEIC, TOEFL etc.), or with specialised vocabulary and technical terms in areas such as medicine, engineering, law, computing, architecture, tourism etc. Add a supplement of £100, €150 or $150 per week according to the country chosen. Please note that HLI does not organise the exams.
TWO STUDENTS SHARING
Students choosing the two student option must come with their own partner of the same language level and on the same dates, since they share the teacher. Please complete two booking forms - one for each student - and mention the name of the person you are sharing with. REDUCTION OF 20% PER STUDENT FOR EACH STUDENT SHARING LESSONS.
BUSINESS & EXECUTIVE
Designed for executives who need to improve their professional language skills. Includes a private bathroom. Families are carefully selected to match the student’s needs and we try to provide a teacher of similar professional background to the student. Add a supplement of £145, €220 or US$220 per week, according to the country chosen.
TRANSFERS (see separate sheet):
We can arrange a transfer from the nearest airport, station or seaport to your host family. Fixed transfer rates of £75 (Sterling), €75 (Euros) or $95 (US Dollars) one way except for New York, Tokyo and Malta. N.B. Students under 16 MUST take 2-way transfers unless we are informed that they will be accompanied by their parents on arrival and departure. Please contact us for prices of transfers from arrival points not listed.
